To those who are looking to join our sorority, I welcome and appreciate your interest in Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority! And to those who are already are a part of this wonderful organization, I deeply appreciate your devotion and dedication to service.

 

I am Anisa Royal, chapter President for 2016. I am overjoyed at this now third opportunity I have to lead a wonderful group of girls for yet another year. For the previous two years I have had the honor of serving as the Alpha Chapter’s President. Being able to watch this chapter grow and blossom from its very humble beginnings into what it is today is something I will always cherish. I will forever hold those memories dear. The different situations I’ve been able to experience due to this sorority are priceless, and has molded me into the woman I am steadily becoming today. Yet one of the biggest take-aways I have gotten to experience is the love, sisterhood, and friendship I have gained through this organization. When you join Gamma Sigma Sigma you are making bonds for life.

 

As President, I have a hand in almost everything. I try and be whatever my sisters need me to be: a listening ear, an unbiased voice of reason, a shoulder to cry on, and someone to look to for direction. While it is not easy, it is definitely rewarding and something I look forward to in this upcoming year.

 

As I humbly serve as President to the Alpha Chapter this upcoming year, I plan on shaking up the old way things have been done. I plan on implementing more structure this year as we move forward. Along with that, I feel that as the Alpha Chapter we need to leave our own mark on the sorority at a National level. Whether it be the way we recruit, the way we do service, or the way we bleed maroon and white to the death! This is the year for Alpha to make its mark, and I intend to see it through. As we transition into this new year, with fresh new faces in office and new members a part of our chapter, I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us!
