I am Brooklin Corbins the 2016 Memberships Vice President. I am a double major in Public Relations and Sports Adminstration who joined Gamma Sigma Sigma's Alpha Chapter in Spring 2015. As the Memberships VP it is my job to bring in potential members,  teach them to love our wonderful sorority and to help extend the linage of our great sorority.

 

Gamma Sigma Sigma is one of the most unique sororities in the country. While we do most of the things traditional sororities do our main focus is service. This is something that I personally found very appealing about the sorority. While we are about service there is never a shortage of fun and bonding. That's something I love about being Membership Vice-President. In my position I get to help new members discover all of the wonderful things that Gamma Sigma Sigma and our chapter have to offer.

As Memberships Vice-President I teach new members the history of our sorority, help them to really learn what service is about and help them to bond with all of our sisters past and present. I love being able to teach new members what makes Gamma Sigma Sigma so special and how they can make a difference not just in the sorority or community but in the world. I know that I am the first thing and person that potential members see and meet and because of that I strive to always make sure that I hold myself up to the standard of what a Gamma Sigma Sigma member is.

Since joining Gamma Sigma Sigma I have found a place where I belong and a group of girls that accepts me for who I am. I am able to lean on them when I am weak and hold them up when I am strong. I have learned what it really means to serve others and my community. Once college and my time at the University of Houston is over I know I will always have sisters and a place to come no matter what. In Gamma Sigma Sigma I have found a home.
